Children and the Inspection Process

-
Children (under 18years of age), are welcomed to attend a home inspection performed by
Test The Nest Inspections LLC. Please Note: this is the case ONLY IF THEY ARE SAFELY SUPERVISED
by an adult throughout the entire duration of the inspection process.
***It is acutely understood that it is not always possible for a child to be safely relocated to other properties on the day of inspection. It is pledged that every effort will be made to enable young ones to return to their favorite areas of their home as soon as it is deemed safe for them to do so.
-
All adults attending inspections will be required to sign a waiver in order to attend, and the
measures expressed within the waiver will apply to any minor under their care at the time of inspection.
The waiver states that the adult is responsible for keeping themselves safe; this clause extends to
being responsible for keeping minors safe.
-
An inspector cannot be expected to reprimand or supervise children; but Test The Nest inspectors may tell clients or their children that what they are doing is unsafe and ask them to stop those actions. ***Inspection procedures may be paused (or ceased entirely) when children are not safely supervised.
-
Please remind children to be mindful of another homeowner's belongings if bringing them to an occupied inspection site. Unoccupied homes are typically completely empty, and sometimes without utilities: This means entertainment via the internet is not always available to children and other options should also be considered. ***A home without water will also not have useable bathrooms (unfortunate, for any of us!)
THANK YOU for helping Test The Nest Inspections LLC keep all children safe in their homes!
